CPR Freight Images
Norwest produces a very nice kit of a CPR end bunker ice reefer. I assembled and painted two of these to represent both a reefer with a propane heater and a reefer with a charcoal heater.
Sylvan Scale Models have also produced CPR kits, including auto boxcars. I assembled and painted two different types of CPR auto boxcars.
I have several Juneco wood vans on my layout which I assembled and painted. These vans can be made to look much better by simply replacing the ladders and end railings. I used Precision Scale ladders and bent my own handrails using #78 wire.
The following images are of CPR freight trains, the first powered by an Atlas RS-3 representing CP 8402 while the second and third images shown are powered by double headed Precision Craft FA1-FB1 models representing CP 4018-4414. I used many Miniatures by Eric detail parts to enhance the appearance of the these model locomotives prior to painting it in the block scheme.
