My model railroad attempts to represents railroading in the late 1950's on both the CNR and CPR. This era saw both steam and diesel locomotives and there was considerable traffic in passenger as well as freight operations. Products on my layout include those from Atlas, Kato, Athearn, Bachmann, Cornerstone, Rivarossi, Roundhouse, Athabasca Scale Models, The BGR Group, Rapido Trains, Hamilton Model Works, John Rendall Models, Juneco, KanaModels, True Line Trains, Norwest, Funaro and Camerlengo and Sylvan Scale Models.

I must admit to having a greater interest in passenger operations than freight and this is reflected in my model railway. But considering that I model the late 1950's, this only reflects what would have been seen in that era, just as many if not more passenger trains than freight trains.

All locomotives were painted by me except where noted. As well, all freight and passenger kits were built and painted by me except where noted. RDC's displayed on these pages are ready to run Proto 1000 models.

Although I do not operate VIA Rail trains on my layout (VIA Rail wasn't around in the 1950's) I am partial to passenger cars and, as such, I have assembled a few VIA Rail passenger cars for display purposes only. Images are currently unavailable.
